On board a passenger cruise ship during a cruise into the Dardanelles looking west-north-west towards Cape Helles on the Gallipoli peninsula. Mehmetcik lighthouse, built 1919, is in the centre of the picture beyond the Sedd el Bahr fort, the Helles Memorial is on the skyline to the right of centre and the signal station and two wireless masts are on the headland on the right. An unidentified general cargo steamship is on the left heading east up the straits.
