The crew at lifeboat stations on the boat deck on board the Orient Line cruise ship Oronsay (1925). The photographer is looking aft and slightly to port from the starboard bridge wing showing lifeboat number 3 swung out and the double banked lifeboats are still housed. A boat in position 19 has been swung out and lowered in its falls and it has 2 masts rigged. The boat's crews, wearing lifejackets, are lined up on the boat deck alongside their respective boats. Awning bars have been rigged over the boat deck.
