Royal Navy warships berthed stern-on to the breakwater in the harbour at Haifa, Palestine. In the left foreground is the bow of a local sailing vessel with the number R.89 painted on the hull. The Royal Navy vessels are all seen from off their port bow and they are, from left to right, the cruiser/minelayer Adventure (1924), the destroyer Antelope (1929) pendant H36, the destroyer Active (1929) pendant H14 and a light cruiser of the later 'D' class, either the Delhi (1918) or the Durban (1919).
