On the right is a large timber wharf and on the left is a concrete wharf with transit sheds on it. Something resembling a steam driven piling frame is in the centre of the picture and to the left of it is the United States Navy Bird class fleet minesweeper Woodcock (1918), seen from fine off her starboard bow.
