The town and harbour of Hvar, Croatia, from seaward.

The town and harbour of Hvar, Croatia. The photographer is looking north from a boat off the harbour showing the Riva with its pineapple palms on the right. A few boats are berthed alongside the north end of the Riva outside the Hotel Overland. In the centre north of the harbour is the Hotel Palace with the Venetian loggia and the clock tower, which is reading 8.30. To the left of the Hotel Palace is the Hotel Park and the shop facing the harbour on the left is occupied by Antun Kunstek, Manufakturna Trgovina. On the hill above the town is the Fortica.
