The photographer is looking south-south-west across the harbour showing the town, the ramparts of the Dalt Vila and the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Snows on top of the Dalt Vila hill. Single masted lateen rigged fishing boats are alongside the harbour wall and three large lighters are moored stern-on the wall in the centre of the picture. Many people are on the promenade on the right. The negative is captioned Iviza.
