Ships Cover for mooring lighters and yard craft (1903-1911). The only named vessel in this group is the self-propelling mooring lighter Recovery (1907). The documentation mainly comprises proposals for adapting mooring lighters for submarine salvage and rescue duty, justifications, specifications and requirements for new lighters, correspondence with contractors and details of tenders, lists and descriptions of alterations, statements of dimensions and estimates of weights, and stability calculations. The earliest papers date from July 1900 and the last from August 1911.
