The south end of the Obala Franje Tudmana in the Old Town of Korcula on the island of Korcula, Yugoslavia. The photographer is looking north from the shore near the Velika Knezeva Kula (Large Governor's Tower) showing a small passenger launch alongside the quay. On the projecting quay of the Obala Franje Tudmana is a two storey building which has the Kingdom of Yugoslavia coat of arms above the door and an iron or steel hulled vessel with a clipper bow is alongside the quay. The vessel has a name painted on her bow, possibly in Croatian cyrillic letters. In the distance is the Orient Line passenger cruise ship Orford (1928) at anchor in the Peljesac Channel.
