The photographer is looking south-west from on board an Orient Line passenger cruise ship anchored in the Pelsejac Channel showing the properties fronting the Put Svetih Nikole on the left. to the left of centre is the bell tower of the Dominikansli Samostan Svetih Nikole (St. Nicholas Church and Monastery). On the extreme right is the island of Otok Vela Kneza. One of the Orient line ship's motor tenders is approaching Korcula harbour.
