Local waterborne traders selling their wares alongside a passenger cruise ship at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The photographer is on board the ship looking down on ten rowing boats from which local men are offering cloth, elephant ornaments and other trinkets and souvenirs to the passengers. Each boat has a line up to the promenade deck which is used to transfer the goods and the payment.
