The Harring Bequest, Navy signals from 1799 to 1803, the so called ‘Admiral Howe’s second code.’ RHM 1935

A handwritten notebook by Robert K M, the forward in the start notes that he has copied a notebook written by J. Manley which contains watercolours. He suspected it to be Captain John Manley when he was a Lieutenant. Also in the forward is a copy of a letter from John Jervis to Evan Nepean, a secretary at the Admiralty. Contains pictures of flags, signals and their signification, same as SIG/B/101. (Formerly L65/56)
