Klima on Milos Island, Greece

The settlement of Klima on Milos Island, Greece. The photographer is on the lower slopes of the hill behind the coastal settlement of Klima looking south-west showing fields enclosed with stone walls in the foreground. In the centre a number of people are standing on the small landing pier at the water's edge with a lifeboat alongside. The lifeboat is from what is believed to be a Donaldson Line passenger cruise ship which is at anchor in the bay but out of the picture. The negative is captioned Melos.
