Merok in Geirangerfjord, More og Romsdal, Norway

Geirangerfjord at Merok, More og Romsdal, Norway. The photographer is on high ground above Merok looking north-west showing a port side view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the German passenger cruise ship Oceana (1912) which is at anchor and is dressed overall. Anchored beyond her is a German Navy light cruiser of the Königsberg class, either the Königsberg (1927), Karlsruhe (1927) or Köln (1928), and the Canadian Pacific Steamships passenger cruise ship Empress of Australia (1914). The zig-zag path beyond the Oceana (1912) is Eagle Pass, which is closed for most of the year.
