The photographer is looking south-east from high ground showing the railway sidings and a rake of ore trucks in the foreground and Silsand in the right background at the mouth of Beisfjord. The photographer took the picture during a cruise of the Norwegian fjords by the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929). The negative is very slightly out of focus.
