A passenger train at Narvik, Norway. The line is supplied with overhead electric power and there is no platform at the station which is on an high embankment. Passengers board by means of portable wooden steps. The large iron ore railway yard is in the left background. The photographer is looking north-north-west and has come ashore from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company's passenger cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929) which is on a cruise of Norwegian fjords.
