A steamship aground in the harbour entrance at Nassau, Bahamas.
A distant bow view of an unidentified 2-masted, single funnelled steamship aground on a small reef in the entrance to the harbour at Nassau, Bahamas. The photographer is looking south-by-west from on board a passenger cruise ship anchored off the harbour entrance. The grounded ship has a slight list to port and is within yards of the navigation light tower that marks the position of the semi-submerged reef. The ship may have floated off on the next high tide. In the left background is Fort Charlotte.
