A group of Sami children by the harbour side at Hammerfest, Norway.
A group of twelve Sami children on the harbour foreshore at Hammerfest, Norway. The boys in the group are holding reindeer horn items and most of the girls are holding dolls or cuddly toys. They are all dressed in the traditional attire. A wharf with a warehouse on it is in the left background. The Swedish passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928), seen from off her port quarter and in all white livery, is at anchor out in the harbour and one of her motor lifeboats is alongside the wharf on the left. The negative is captioned "Lapplanders" (sic).
