The photographer is looking south-south-east from the north side of the Hellesyltfossen Waterfall showing the Hellesylt Bridge, built in 1902, on the left. On the right is the Missions Hotell and beyond the village is the valley of the Korsbrekkelva. A large number of 2-wheeled horse drawn carriages can be seen in the village.
