A quayside view looking at the port quarters of four yachts moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. The yacht moored to the quayside has a dark blue hull with the words 'INTERSPRAY SOUTHAMPTON' painted in white on the stern. The vessel moored on InterSpray's starboard side is a yacht with a blue, yellow, green and white horizontally striped hull. The words 'COOPERS AND LYEBRAND LONDON' are present on the stern, whilst the words 'NORTH EAST SAILING TEAM' are present on a banner on the yacht's port side. Moored on Coopers and Lyebrand's starboard side is a yellow hull yacht. The words 'HOFBRAU MONARCH LAGER POOLE' are present on the stern and the sail cover. Moored on Hofbrau Lager's starboard side is a white hulled yacht with the words 'GROUP 4 SECURICOR LONDON' visible on the stern and the sail cover. All four yachts have a red ensign attached to a flagstaff on their sterns. The Former Baltic Flour Mill can be seen in the background on the opposite bank. All four yachts have crew and members of the public walking and sitting on their decks.
