The waterfront at Port-au-Prince, Haiti

The waterfront at Port-au-Prince, Haiti. The buildings on the waterfront are mainly huts or roofed shelters. Interwoven wooden fences are on the right and tree branches are driven into the shallows to form a sort of breakwater. A wooden rowing boat is tied to a mooring pole in the right foreground. In the left background is a commercial building with two tall thin chimneys.
