In the left foreground is a 2-storey building carrying an advertisement for Colman's Starch. Rowing boats are moored off the beach. A quay in the background on the south side of the harbour has the Royal National Lifeboat Institution's lifeboat house on it and a small lighthouse is on the corner of the quay.
