Quayside view of the three-masted training barque STS Lord Nelson (1985) and four other yachts moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993

A quayside port quarter view of the three-masted training barque STS Lord Nelson (1986) with three other yachts outboard, moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. Attached to the stern of Lord Nelson is a blue backed badge with a gold border and a coat of arms on the top. The words 'STS LORD NELSON' are visible on a blue backed badge with a gold coloured border on the stern. Ten people can be seen standing on the aft deckhouse of Lord Nelson. Moored next to the starboard side of the Lord Nelson is an obscured sailing vessel with a tender hanging from the stern davits. On the starboard side of the obscured vessel is a two-masted gaff rig schooner with a black painted hull. The Swedish flag is hanging from the aft mast. Moored next to the schooner is yacht Arethusa with a light blue painted hull. Two flags can be seen on the masts. A blue flag with a naval emblem with a red anchor in the middle. The mizzen mast has a red flag which appears to have the Coat of arms of the Earl of Shaftsbury. The Royal Naval Reserve base HMS Calliope and the former Baltic Flour Mill are present in the background.
