A quayside three quarter bow view of the sail training three-masted barque STS Lord Nelson (1986), moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993
A quayside port bow view of the sail training three-masted barque STS Lord Nelson (1986), moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. A number of people can seen on the deck of the ship near the bow, with more of them climbing the rigging of the foremast and standing on the top. The ship's name is carved onto its bow. A Swedish yacht is moored on STS Lord Nelson's starboard side, with the Swedish flag flying from the aftmast. The old roll-on roll-off car ferry, now a night club, Tuxedo Princess (1961) is moored to the opposite bank in the background. The Tyne Bridge can also be seen in the background. The photograph has been taken at an odd angle so the horizon is not level.
