The north and east shores of Tjornin Lake at Reykjavik, Iceland. The Listasafn Islands (National Gallery of Iceland) and the Frikirkjan i Reykjavik on the Frikirkjuvegur are on the east bank on the right of the picture. The Listasafn has an arched facade and the church, which was completed in 1903, is a Lutheran Free Church. The photographer is looking north-east across the lake from the south-west corner showing a modern residential block in the centre of the picture. Beyond the north shore in the extreme left background is the tower of the Domkirkjan.
