Austurvollur Square in Reykjavik, Iceland. The photographer is looking north-west across the square showing the monument to Jon Sigurosson (1811-1879). On the right the building with the dome at Austurstræti 16 was built in 1916-1917 and is one of the first buildings designed by Samúelsson, as well as earning the title of being the first large building in Iceland.
