The north-east side of the New Town and Mandraki harbour, Rhodes.
A general view of the north-east side of the New Town and Mandraki harbour, Rhodes. The photographer is looking west from on board a passenger cruise ship anchored offshore to the east. A 2-masted schooner is sailing out of Emborikos harbour and the Agios Nikolaos fortress and lighthouse is on the left with the bell tower of the Evangelismos Church can be seen beyond it. The church was completed in 1925. The Governor's Palace which was built in 1927 can be seen beyond the schooner. The large building in the right background was demolished in the mid 1930s.
