The south-west corner of Emborikos harbour, Rhodes.
The south-west corner of Emborikos harbour, Rhodes. The photographer is looking south-by-west from the base of the St. Paul's Tower walls showing the walls of the Old Town with the Marine gate between the semi-circular twin towers in the left background. The old houses and structures between the town walls and the water's edge were demolished by the Italian administration in the late 1930s. A few caiques are drying sails on the left.
