The breakwaters of Mandraki harbour, Rhodes. The photographer is looking north-north-east from the west bank of Mandraki harbour showing a man sitting on the port side of the hull of a rowing boat moored to the shore. On the west breakwater is a limestone pillar surmounted by a paloni deer stag and on the east breakwater the pillar is topped with the Roman she-wolf suckling Romulus and Remus.
