Three cargo ships are alongside the wharves, two of them being owned by the Charente S.S. Co. Ltd. (Thos. & Jas. Harrison). At moorings beyond the wharves are the cargo ship Langleeford (1925) and an unidentified cable ship, both seen from off the starboard beam. The cable ship is in poor condition and appears to be laid up.
