A distant aerial view of Castries harbour, St. Lucia, West Indies.
A distant aerial view of the harbour at Castries, St. Lucia, West Indies. The photographer is looking north from high ground to the south showing various ships alongside wharves or at moorings. On the right and seen from off her starboard beam is the Royal Navy cadet training cruiser Frobisher (1920) with awnings rigged and her stern is out of the picture. Three cargo ships are alongside the wharves, two of them being owned by the Charente S.S. Co. Ltd. (Thos. & Jas. Harrison). At moorings beyond the wharves are the cargo ship Langleeford (1925) and an unidentified cable ship, both seen from off the starboard beam. The cable ship is in poor condition and appears to be laid up.
