A slightly distant bow view, taken from fine off the starboard bow, of motor lifeboat No. 1 from the Swedish passenger cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) alongside the landing place in Castries harbour, St. Lucia, West Indies. Passengers are disembarking assisted by three of the ship's officers. A number of rowing boats, including one named Silver Dollar, are in the foreground. Another rowing boat and a small sailing dinghy are in the harbour. Single and two storey buildings are on the opposite wharf which is cluttered with building materials, a cement mixer, a rivetted steel cylindrical object, an anchor and two mooring buoys.
