The harbour and town at Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. The photographer is looking west-by-south from high ground to the east of the town, said to be Bluebeard's Terrace, showing the main part of the town and waterfront. Two tall lattice steel radio masts, Fort Christian and the Cooperative building with its conspicuous square tower are in the centre of the picture and the Frederick Lutheran Church is in the middle ground on the right.
