Looking over the rooftops of the United States Lighthouse Service base at La Puntilla, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Looking over the rooftops of the United States Lighthouse Service base at La Puntilla, San Juan, Puerto Rico. The photographer is looking south from the Old Town and some of the buildings in the foreground have names on them including Andreu Agular & Co. Inc., F. Freiria S. en C., Sobrinos De Portilla and Fundicion De Portilla. Alongside the end of the Lighthouse Service base wharf is a buoy tender, possibly the Acacia (1920) or the Spruce (1920). At anchor in the bay and seen from just abaft her port beam is the Anchor Line passenger cruise ship Caledonia (1925) and she is dressed overall. One of the Popular class of passenger motor launches is heading shorewards from the ship.
