A quayside view of port quarters of the pilot vessel Norman Forster (1991) and the police vessel Northumbria (1980) moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. The Norman Forster's name and home port are written in white letter on the stern withe words "PORT HARBOURMASTER" written in black letters on the white superstructure. There are three orange life preservers on the top, the port and starboard side of the superstructure. A person can be seen inside the wheelhouse of the Norman Forster. Moored on the starboard is the police vessel Northumbria. Its name and home port are visible in white letters on the stern. Three police officers can be seen standing on the vessel's statboard side. Warehouses can be seen on the opposite bank of the Tyne and a vast array of moored vessels are visible further down the river.
