Quayside three quarter bow view of the pilot vessel Norman Forster (1991), the police vessel Northumbria (1980) and the tug vessels Albicore [ex Sarah D] (1990) and the Golden Cross [ex Dunheron] (1955) moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993.
An elevated view from the quayside looking at the bows of the pilot vessel Norman Forster (1991) and the police vessel Northumbria (1980) moored on the River Tyne during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. A person can be seen inside the wheelhouse of the Norman Forster. Moored on the starboard is the police vessel Northumbria. Its name and home port are visible in white letters on the stern. Three police officers are standing on the vessel's statboard side. Warehouses can be seen on the opposite bank of the Tyne and a vast array of moored vessels are visible further down the river. In the background, the Tyne's Towage vessel Sarah D (1990) is on the River Tyne with the tug Dunheron (1955). The Naval shore establishment HMS Calliope can be seen on the opposite side of the river. The Tyne Bridge can be seen in the top right hand side of the image.
