The photographer is looking north-west-by-north from an elevated position on the Stadsgardshamnen in the Sodermalm district showing a distant port quarter view of the Swedish cruise ship Kungsholm (1928) at moorings in the centre of the harbour. She is dressed overall and has small craft alongside. Passenger/cargo vessels are alongside the Skeppsbrokajen in Gamla Stan on the left. Swedish Navy warships and large privately owned luxury yachts are alongside the Skeppsholmen island on the right. In the centre of the background passenger ferries are alongside the Sodra Blasieholmshamnen in the Norrmalm district.
