The photographer is looking east-by-south from the Vasterbron bridge showing the City Hall in Kungsholmen on the left, Gamla Stan in the centre and the Sodermalm district on the right. The iron spire of the Riddarholmen Church is in the centre of the picture. Two passenger ferries are under way in the Riddarfjarden heading towards the bridge. The horizon is not level.
