A port side view of an unidentified ketch-rigged yacht leaving Tynemouth harbour during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993.

A port side view of an unidentified ketch-rigged yacht leaving Tynemouth harbour during the Cutty Sark Tall Ships Race in July 1993. In the far right distance is a Loyal class fleet tender and a harbour mooring vessel. The ketch has a red coloured hull and the jib and mizzen sails are set. The name is not readable on the bow due to the image being slightly out of focus. The South Shields lighthouse and pier are visible off the stern of the yacht. A large group of small craft are moored on the left hand side of the image. Part of Tynemouth Pier and a partial view of the top of a person's head are visible in the foreground.
