The old city walls and the new outer mole at Tangier, Morocco.
The old city walls and shipping in the bay at Tangier, Morocco. The photographer is looking east-by-north from a vantage point on the west end of the old city wall protecting the north side of the Old Town. The harbour is on the right with the lighthouse on the end of the north breakwater. The new outer mole on the left is under construction. At anchor out in the bay are a four-masted schooner, a general cargo ship and a Canadian Pacific Steamships cruise ship of the Duchess class. She is seen from well ahead of her port beam and is one of Duchess of Atholl (1928), Duchess of Bedford (1928) or Duchess of Richmond (1928).
