The waterfront at Thasos on the island of Thasos, Greece
The waterfront at Thasos on the island of Thasos, Greece. The buildings facing the water are mainly two storey with pitched tiled roofs but on the left is a 4-storey rectangular block which may be offices. None of the buildings have any signs or names on them. The village is backed by wooded hills and is also known as Limenas, which is Greek for 'port'. The photographer is on board a vessel well offshore and is on a cruise by the Donaldson Line cruise ship Letitia (1925).
