The village and harbour at Thasos on the island of Thasos, Greece
The village and harbour at Thasos on the island of Thasos, Greece. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Donaldson Line cruise ship Letitia (1925) and is looking west-south-west from Acropolis Hill showing a 2-masted schooner in the harbour on the right. Leading lights are on both breakwaters at the harbour entrance. The clock tower of Saint Nicholas Church is on the left. The village is backed by wooded hills and is also known as Limenas, which is Greek for 'port'.
