The waterfront at Scarborough, Tobago, West Indies.
The waterfront at Scarborough, Tobago, West Indies. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Orient Line cruise ship Orontes (1929) and is looking along the beach showing the waterfront buildings on the western side of the settlement including a Shell garage. All bar one of the buildings are single storey under pitched roofs. A motor car is parked on the right and a small single masted sailing vessel which is listing to starboard is drawn up on the beach on the left. Also on the left is a triangle marker on a pole in the trees.
