Trangisvaag and the Trangisvaagsfjordur on the island of Suduroy in the Faroe Islands
The waterfront of the village of Transgisvaag and the Trangisvaagsfjordur on the island of Suduroy in the Faroe Islands. The photographer is looking north-west showing open fishing boats alongside a finger jetty at Trangisvaag. On of the boats is numbered TG.59 and has the name Tveraa. The buildings are a mix of single, two and three storey and all appear to have pitched or sloping roofs. Mountains form the backdrop and those on the left are partly obscured by low cloud. The photographer is on a shore excursion from the Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Company cruise ship Viceroy of India (1929).
