The waterfront at Tromso, Norway
The waterfront at Tromso, Norway. The photographer is looking south-west along the waterfront and in the foreground is a motor fishing vessel alongside a wharf. Her port registry is N.43.ME and she is seen from off her starboard bow. Other motor fishing vessels and sealers are alongside wharves in the background. The clock tower and steeple of the wooden built Tromso Cathedral (Domkirke), consecrated in 1861, is in the centre of the picture and mountain peaks are in the distance.
