Fishing botters packed into the harbour at Volendam on the Ijsselmeer, Netherlands. The bows of the nearest boats, identified by their port registry as VD.44 and VD.150, are seen from off the port side. The boats on the left are seen from astern and the remaining boats are slightly out of focus. Many of these botters have their nets suspended from the masts to dry.
