The pier and seafront at Zoppot, Free City of Danzig. Zoppot was part of the Free City of Danzig from 1920 to 1939. The photographer is looking south-west-by-west from a side platform on the pier showing the buildings at the shore end of the pier including the ornate lighthouse. A number of basket seats are scattered about the beach with low sand embankments round each one. Two of the many flags being flown are the German swastika.
