The Kasino Hotel and the beach at Zoppot, Free City of Danzig.
The Kasino Hotel and the beach at Zoppot, Free City of Danzig. Zoppot was part of the Free City of Danzig from 1920 to 1939. The photographer is looking north-west-by-north from the shore end of the pier showing the hotel, which was opened in 1927, on the left. A large number of basket seats are scattered about the beach with low sand embankments round each one. A restaurant and dance hall complex is further along the beach with a large water slide and a small boat jetty projecting into the water.
