The photographer is looking north-west-by-north from the beach near the pier showing a large number of basket seats scattered on the beach and each one has a low embankment round it. Many of the seats are occupied and are all numbered with a BZ letter prefix. People are in the water and a leisure complex and two piers are in the background. The coast is backed by a tree-lined strip of land.
