Enchantress (1862)

Scale: 1:48. Plan showing the bow, head, headrails, trail-board and figurehead for Enchantress (1862), a paddle despatch vessel built as a yacht for Commanders-in-Chief.

A three-quarter length bust of a female facing forward with her head covered by a long pleated headdress that falls down her back to her shoulders. The dress is nipped in at the waist, below which the skirts are pleated.

The plan includes an Admiralty Letter Book number S2390-61
