A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Oronsay (1925) stopped in Norwegian waters.

A starboard near broadside view, taken from just ahead of the beam, of the Orient Line cruise ship Oronsay (1925) stopped in Norwegian waters. She has an accommodation ladder rigged forward and a lifeboat is alongside it. Lifeboat number 17 has been launched and seaboat number 3 has been swung out and lowered to boat deck level. One of the ship's boats laden with passengers is heading for the shore. The ship is motionless but is not showing any signs of being moored to buoys and she is not displaying an anchor ball daymark on her forestay. There are patches of snow on the mountains in the background.
