A slightly distant starboard side view, taken from ahead of the beam, of the Norwegian cruise ship Stella Polaris (1927) at anchor in Isfjord, off Aandalsnes, Norway. Her port anchor is deployed, an accommodation ladder is rigged under the bridge and lifeboat number 9 has been launched. She was built especially for cruising in Norwegian waters, completing over 70 cruises between 1927 and 1939. The Swedish-America Line cruise ship Kungsholm (1928), seen from fine off her port bow, is also at anchor and she has her port anchor deployed. There are patches of snow on the mountains in the background.
